On February 10, 1948 at 04:25 PM, Bandung – Jakarta – Banjoemans – Semarang experienced a crash involving Douglas C-47 Skytrain (DC-3), operated by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines - Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij, with the event recorded near Bandung West Java.

While cruising over The Channel and approaching the English coast, the pilot encountered poor visibility due to fog and low clouds. He continued along the shore and arrived in Hythe, Kent, when the aircraft hit a tree and crashed in a field. All four occupants were rescued and one passenger was slightly injured.
