On November 27, 1996 at 11:54 PM, Moscow – Abakan – Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky experienced a crash involving Ilyushin II-76, operated by Russian Air Force - Voyenno-vozdushnye sily Rossii, with the event recorded near Abakan Republic of Khakassia.
