On October 6, 1996 at 12:00 AM, Luanda - Lucapa experienced a crash involving Antonov AN-12, operated by GOSNII GA - Gosudarstvenny Issledovatelny Institut Grazhdanskoi Aviatsii, with the event recorded near Lucapa Lunda Norte.
