The single engine airplane departed New Haven-Tweed Airport with four people on board, three passengers and one pilot. Climbing to the north, the airplane went out of control and crashed on the edge of a pasture located in North Haven, just north of Clintonville Road. Northwest Airways

Shortly after takeoff from Rockford Airport, the pilot lost his orientation due to poor visibility caused by foggy conditions. He decided to bail out and abandoned the aircraft. Doing so, he struck the stabilizer and was later found dead. Out of control, the aircraft dove into the ground and crashed in Calvin Park, a district of Rockford. There were no casualties on the ground.

Private American

The single engine airplane was engaged in a local demo flight at Miami Municipal Airport, taking part to an airshow (All American Air Meet). While flying in the vicinity of the airfield, the engine failed. The pilot reduced his altitude in an attempt to make an emergency landing when the aircraft collided with high tension wires and crashed. Three occupants were killed and a fourth was injured.
