On December 13, 1950 at 01:30 PM, Arapongas – Londrina – São Paulo experienced a crash involving Douglas C-47 Skytrain (DC-3), operated by VASP - Viação Aérea de São Paulo, with the event recorded near Londrina Paraná.

In unknown circumstances, the aircraft crashed in the river and was damaged beyond repair. While the pilot Drewsky was injured, the mechanic Thill was killed.
