It was confirmed by the Indonesian Air Force that one of the pilot was the famous Indonesian aviation Pioneer Captain Anumerta Muhammad Syamsudin Noor. In his honor, the airport of Banjarmasin will be renamed in 1970.

On November 26, 1950 at 12:00 AM, Bandung – Tasikmalaya experienced a crash involving Douglas C-47 Skytrain (DC-3), operated by Indonesian Air Force - TNI-AU Tentara Nasional Indonesia - Angkatan Udara, with the event recorded near Mt Galunggung West Java.
