Shortly after takeoff from Dover, Kent, the aircraft went out of control and crashed in an open field, killing both occupants. The aircraft was owned by the British Aviator Lt Col G. L. P. Henderson who was not on board. He died in another accident on 21JUL1930 in Meopham.

The British Major Wilfred Theodore Blake was trying to complete one of the first World Tour. Last May, he crashed with his DH.9 in Marseille but continued with this Fairey IIIC. The airplane departed the east coast of India bound to Chittagong. While cruising off the West Bengal State, the aircraft crashed in unknown circumstances in the sea off Sagar. The crew departed RAF Leuchars for a local training mission. In flight, the airplane collided with a second RAF Fairey IIID registered N9754. While this second aircraft was able to land and its crew was uninjured, the N9756 entered a dive and crashed in Guardbridge, southwest of the airbase. Both crew members were killed.
