On June 3, 2018 at 12:00 AM, Biskra - Biskra experienced a crash involving Lockheed C-130 Hercules, operated by Algerian Air Force - Al Quwwat Aljawwija Aljaza'Eriiya, with the event recorded near Biskra Biskra.

Around noon, while approaching the Algerian coast, the pilot sent a brief message and announced he was forced to attempt an emergency landing off Cape of Pointe Pescade, some 30 km northwest of Algiers, due to an engine failure.
