On June 30, 2015 at 11:50 AM, Medan – Tanjung Pinang experienced a crash involving Lockheed C-130 Hercules, operated by Indonesian Air Force - TNI-AU Tentara Nasional Indonesia - Angkatan Udara, with the event recorded near Medan-Soewondo AFB North Sumatra.
