On May 26, 1971 at 03:00 PM, Cape Town - Cape Town experienced a crash involving BAe 125, operated by South African Air Force, with the event recorded near Devil's Peak Western Cape.

All three aircraft were totally destroyed and all 11 crew members were killed.
