The aircraft was performing a regular schedule service from Prague to Warsaw. It departed Prague-Kbely Airport at 1133LT with one passenger and one pilot on board. About 30 minutes into the flight, weather conditions deteriorated and the visibility was poor due to low clouds and fog. Apparently lost, the pilot failed to realize his altitude was insufficient when the aircraft struck a tree and crashed in a wooded area located near Trutnow, in the Central Bohemia Region. Both occupants were killed, among them the Russian pilot Pavel Vladimirovitch Argeyev.

The aircraft departed Prague-Kbely on a local training flight to prepare the crew to the first 'Air Speed Race'. On board were six soldiers and two crew members. After takeoff, while climbing, the aircraft entered an uncontrolled descent and crashed in an open field. All eight occupants evacuated with minor injuries while the aircraft was destroyed. En route from Vienna to Prague, while cruising some 80 km west of Brno, the pilot encountered engine problems and lost control of the aircraft that stalled and crashed in an open field locatede in Hladov, bursting into flames. Both passengers were killed instantly while the pilot was seriously injured. He died from his injuries a day later at hospital in Jihlava. Crew: Aimé Grasset, pilot. Passengers: Otakar Ludvig, Franz Kaufmann.

The pilot attempted an emergency landing when the aircraft crashed in a grassy area near the airfield. While the pilot was injured, a woman who was mowing the lawn was killed.
