The crew departed Galeão Airport on a local training mission. While flying at a height of about 400 metres, the airplane entered an uncontrolled descent and crashed into the Guanabara Bay, some 30 metres offshore. A pilot was rescued while the second occupant was killed.

The single engine airplane was completing a local flight out from Curitiba-Bacacheri Airport, carrying one civilian passenger and one pilot. For unknown reasons, the airplane went out of control and crashed near the airport, killing both occupants.

The crew departed Resende on a flight to the Santa Cruz AFB. While approaching from the north, the airplane crashed in a mountainous area located near Itaguaí.
